LAHORE (92 News) – The Primary and Secondary Health Department has warned of the spread of coronavirus due to failure in implementing the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in markets. In a letter written to the administration and the police, the Health Department stated that neither masks were being used in markets nor social distance is being maintained in markets and shopping malls. "A large number of coronavirus cases could re-emerge due to carelessness," it warned. On the other hand, 747 coronavirus cases were reported during the last 24 hours across the country. According to the data available with National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday, nine people died of COVID-19 during the last 24 hours. As a result, the death toll rose to 6,162. The number of people having the infection has risen to 288,047, while 265, 624 patients have recovered. There are only 16,261 active cases in the country. As many as 23,722 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours, raising the number of tests conducted so far to 2,253,131.
