Faizabad sit-in commission summons Shehbaz Sharif for recording statement on Jan 3

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Faizabad sit-in commission on Monday summoned former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif to record his statement on January 3.

Shehbaz Sharif has been directed to appear before the commission in person. According to sources, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif has been summoned as former chief minister of Punjab.

The Faizabad sit-in was staged by the activists of the Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) in Rawalpindi in November 2017. The Supreme Court had taken suo motu notice of the sit-in on November 21, 2017. On February 6, 2019, a bench headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa had announced its verdict.
