LAHORE (92 News) – Farmers are forced to stand in long queues to get only a bag as the fertilizers crisis intensified in Punjab and Sindh.

Hoarders have started selling the fertilizers at the prices of their choice. In Shahpur Chakkar, farmers forcibly stopped a trolley loaded with fertilizers and sold the stock at Rs 2,100 per bag.

Thousands of acres of the wheat crop are likely to be damaged due to the shortage of fertilizers in Rahimyar Khan, Multan, Rajanpur, Kasur, Chunian and Shahkot.

Owing to the shortage, fertilizers are being sold on the black market. A bag of Urea is being sold at Rs2,500, while its government price is Rs1,768.
