KARACHI (92 News) — Farmers are forced to buy Urea on the black market as crisis continued in Punjab and Sindh.

Contrary to the claims of the government, farmers are buying a bag of Urea at Rs2,600-3500. The increase in the Urea price has reduced the sowing capacity of wheat due to shortage of Urea.

Urea is available in abundance on the black market. Despite claims of the government, urea could not be made available in markets.

The administration has failed in taking any action against black marketers and as a result, shortage of urea can effect crops of wheat.

Farmers said that the wheat crop needs Urea three times till Feburary, but they could not get it for a single time till now.
