Farmers' leader 'tortured' by police during sit-in succumbs to injuries
LAHORE (92 News) – A farmers' leader, who was allegedly tortured by the police in the sit-in, succumbed to his wounds in hospital on Thursday.
Responding to his death, Kissan Ittehad leaders said that the martyrdom of Ashfaq Langrial had exposed the face of the fascist government. They demanded that a case should be registered against the people responsible for his death.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has formed a medical board to ascertain the causes of the death.
Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Ashfaq Langrial was brought to hospital for heartache on Thursday, not on Wednesday.
