Farogh Naseem rules out any possibility of Governor Rule

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Law Minister Barrister Farogh Naseem has said that no plan of imposition of ‘Governor Rule’ or ‘Emergency’ in Sindh. In a special interview with 92 News program Hard Talk, the law minister termed that they will not take any move which will provide any chance to the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) for playing politics. “Our real focus is the poor people of Sindh so that all the funds should be used in the province and the directions will be given by the federal government. However, the PPP has not been invited for Karachi committee,” Barrister Farogh Naseem mentioned. “Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani is a good man but he chooses the wrong party, he does not like the person who talks about corruption in Sindh. People of Grand Domestic Alliance (GDA) inform me that the PPP is oppressing Sindh,” he added. Referring to the Punjab Police, the law minister said that all the recruitment of police in Punjab took place in the previous tenure of the governments and not on merit, which made matters worse for Punjab Police. He told that in a meeting of the Prime Minister’s House, Imran Khan decided to bring reforms in the police. Commenting on the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Farogh Naseem said that he has no allegations of corruption. It is pertinent to  mention here that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the statement of Farogh Naseem should be taken serious regarding the imposition of Article 149. Earlier, Farogh Naseem said that the laws are being formulated first time for quick justice. “We are reducing the period of civil cases to one and a half years. We are introducing whistleblower laws in the ‘benami’ transactions,” he said. He said that the government would follow the law with regard to the appointment of judges. “The appointment of judges is a serious matter. A two-thirds majority is required for amending the laws,” he added. Farogh Naseem said that they would not allow anyone to separate Karachi from Sindh. “We also offer Sindh to present new laws,” he said.
