LAHORE (92 News) - Fast bowler Wahab Riaz announced to retire from international cricket on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference, he said that he would continue to play the franchise cricket. "It is very difficult to retain a place in the team. I tried to display the best performance whenever I entered the field," he added.

He said, while weeping, that he would perform any duty assigned to him by the Pakistan Cricket Board. "There has always been a gap between the players and the board. I have made this decision after long deliberations," he added.

Wahab Riaz has represented Pakistan in 27 Tests, 91 one-dayers and 36 Twenty-20 Internationals matches.
