Fawad calls for action against fake news of Maleeka Bokhari

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Expressing anger over misinformation on social media, Minster for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Monday called for strict action against fake news of Maleeka Bokhari. In his tweet, the information minister strongly condemned the spread of fake news about the appointment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s lawmaker Maleeka Bokhari as chairperson of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).

The Minister also tagged tweet of Maleeka Bokhari in which she has categorically refuted her appointment as chairperson Benazir Income Support Program. “A series of Fake notifications and news is systematically spread on social media, it started from a media dinner picture and now there is a series of such rubbish. Without effecting freedom on SM we need to take strict action against fake news,” the minister tweeted.
