Fawad Ch recommends abolition of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Ch has recommended the abolition of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. Talking to the media on Monday, he said that the authorities in Saudi Arabia and Iran had appreciated the lunar application introduced by his ministry. “I hope the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) will also approve the lunar calendar,” he maintained. He demanded that the calendar should be implemented officially. “Eidul Azha will be held on August 12,” he declared. The minister said that Mufti Muneebur Rahman is a learned scholar and he highly respect him. “I have no issue with the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and my relation with Ulema is of respect.” He demanded that assets of Maryam Nawaz, Bilawal Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif should be confiscated. About the Reko Diq case, Fawad Ch demanded that the assets of former chief justice Iftikhar Ch and Hamid Khan should also be confiscated. The minister said that they want to enhance cooperation with the United States in the field of science.

He said the PTI government is fulfilling the promises of accountability, transparent government and good governance. He said that those who remained in power for last 10 years, will go to jail. The information minister also said that the incumbent government has introduced a transparent system of accountability in the country, those who looted the national exchequer will be held accountable. He said twenty-four trillion rupees loans were taken by last two regimes but no major development was carried out.
