Fawad Ch says it’s inappropriate to refer political cases to retired judges

LAHORE (92 News) - Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary has said that it is inappropriate to refer political cases before retired judges.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that only serving judges should hear political cases. “Maryam Nawaz is fearing that she could lose her seat if Form 45 is opened” he added.

Fawad Chaudhary said that the ECP’s decision not to file a review petition against the SC judgment was justified. “The ECP should also accept the verdict announced by the LHC chief justice,” he advised.

On the other hand, a local court extended the interim bails of Fawad Chaudhary, Hafiz Farhat Abbas and others in a case pertaining to arson until August 7. The court gave the investigation officer the last chance to complete investigations.
