ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary has hinted at reopening the case against former president Asif Ali Zardari on the basis of the Broadsheet report.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that the Broadsheet Commission had provided the original data of the Swiss account.

He disclosed that the government had decided to take action against five people nominated in the Broadsheet case. "Approval has been granted to start criminal proceedings against Ahmer Bilal, Hassan Saqib, Ghulam Rasool, Abdul Basir and Shahid Ali Baig," he said.

He said that 45 percent of country's sugar mills are owned by Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari. "Action will be taken against them as they increased the sugar prices through the stay order," he added.

The minister said that changes will be made in the OGRA Ordinance. "95 percent people in Pakistan will be administered the coronavirus vaccine free of cost," he added.

He said that no increase has been made in the prices of medicines.
