Fawad Chaudhary's arrest is not political revenge: Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the arrest of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary is not a political revenge.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, she said that all PTI members would have been in jail had the government made political arrests.

She said that the case against Fawad Chaudhary had been registered by the Election Commission of Pakistan, not a political party.

"The PML-N was made the victim of political revenge in the past. Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Rana Sanaullah and other leaders were arrested in fake cases," she added.
