ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has demanded from the Supreme Court (SC) to implement Article 140A in Sindh on Sunday.

While speaking to the journalists at Sindh Governor's House, Fawad Chaudhry said that unfortunately Sindh Chief Minister (CM) is doing politics of nationalism. 'Governor Rule' has no place in the constitution. "Law and order situation in Karachi is very bad, the provincial government has kept all the responsibilities until the protocol is implemented."

Fawad said that the health system in Sindh has been completely destroyed. He further said that 1600 to 1800 billion rupees have been provided to Sindh government during the last three years and 27 percent more budget will be provided in the next fiscal year. He said federal government provided additional 500 Megawatt electricity to Karachi which resulted in less load shedding during extreme hot weather.

The minister said people belonging to all walks of life have appreciated the federal budget and hopefully next year will be growth year economically. To a question, he said local government elections should be held in Sindh to ensure development at grass root level.

The information minister further said that Sindh has not been able to form its own police since 1990, the police do not have the capacity to maintain basic law and order so there are Rangers here. "The law and order situation in the backward areas of Balochistan is not as bad as in Karachi. Anyone can stop a vehicle and return with a pistol. "
