Fazlur Rehman providing political oxygen to Nawaz Sharif: Fawad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Reacting to the meeting of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman with the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said that lie was told as usual, and now Fazlur Rehman has reached to meet Nawaz Sharif and give him political oxygen. In his tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Supreme Court was told that if Nawaz Sharif was not granted bail, his disease may worsen. The minister slammed a meeting between Nawaz and Fazlur Rehman and urged courts to take notice of it. “Nawaz Sharif was so sick that he told the Supreme Court that his life would be in danger if he was denied bail,” he tweeted, referring to the former premier’s release on six-week bail on medical grounds last month. He said as always, the apex court was told a lie.

Foreign debt increased by $60b from 2008-18: Fawad

He said that the country's foreign debt from 2008 to 2018 increased substantially by sixty billion dollars reaching 97 billion dollars from 37 billion dollars. In a tweet on Tuesday, the Minister said several mega projects were executed until 2008, which included development of Islamabad and construction of Tarbela and Mangla dams, naval bases, Gwadar and motorway besides equipping the armed forces with modern weapons.

Heavy debt distributed between Sharif & Zardari families

The information minister said, later, the amount of the heavy debt was distributed between Sharif and Zardari families. Fawad said the money was sent abroad illegally through Hundi and Hawala means and fake accounts were also used for the purpose. He further said Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Zardari are the main characters of this drama while there are dozens others who played the side role in it.
