Federal cabinet approves appointment of Air Marshal Arshad Malik as PIA CEO

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan approved to appoint Air Marshal Arshad Malik as chief executive officer (CEO) of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). After his retirement, he will remain the PIA chief executive. He will retire from Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on July 12. He will be on the contract for the remaining period. Air Marshal Arshad Malik has been appointed as the PIA chief executive for three years. Moreover, the meeting withdrew the agenda of handing over Pakistani prisoner Syed Shariq Raza to the United Kingdom. The cabinet was also briefed about the pilots holding doubtful degrees. It ordered the authorities to complete the scrutiny of doubtful degrees at the earliest. The forum deferred the matter of amendment to the Companies Act 2017 with regard to the FATF.
