Federal cabinet approves imposition of six new laws through ordinances

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet has approved the imposition of six new laws through the ordinances. The decision was made during a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday. The ordinances include the NAB Amendment Ordinance and the Benami Transaction Act. The cabinet also approved the release of Rs5 billion for low-cost houses. Moreover, the cabinet also decided to form a special cabinet committee to deal with the Azadi March. The committee will made administrative decisions to cope with the situation emerging due to the march. Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan sought suggestions from the cabinet members about the Azadi March. They said that a majority of members had proposed to stop the Azadi March. However, Prime Minister Imran Khan was reluctant to comment on Azadi March. The prime minister said that the Dialogue Committee had been formed for the march and the decision would be made in the light of its recommendation.
