Federal cabinet approves Lt Gen Muhammad Munir's appointment as NADRA chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The federal cabinet on Monday approved appointment of Lt Gen Muhammad Munir as the chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar. 

Speaking on the occasion, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said that there is need to harmonize professional education and technical training with the international market.

He said that steps should be taken to increase job opportunities abroad. "Manpower is our asset and work should be done on war footings to provide skills to the manpower as per contemporary requirements," he added.

Meanwhile, the cabinet also endorsed the decisions made by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC). It approved an amended service level agreement between TAKAMOL and National Vocational and Technical Training Commission. It also allowed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Area Study Centre of the University of Peshawar and the Central Asia Study Centre of Corvinus University Hungary.

The cabinet approved renaming of Summit Bank Limited as Bank Makramah Limited. An agreement was also approved between the Pakistan government and the Government of Ecuador under which holders of diplomatic, official and special passports of both the countries will be exempted from visa.
