Federal cabinet approves proposals for electoral reforms

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposals for the electoral reforms in the country.

Talking to the media after the federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary said that the cabinet had appointed Dr Ashfaq as chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue.

"Babar Awan and Shibli Faraz briefed the cabinet about the electronic voting machine (EVM). The PML-N is a hurdle in transparent elections," he maintained.

He said that the PDM's future had been restricted to weddings in London.

Fawad Chaudhary said that the cabinet also discussed the Greater Iqbal Park incident. "We are in contact with Turkey and China over the Afghanistan issue. We are playing a responsible role with regard to Afghanistan," he added.

He said that wanted terrorists were hiding in Afghanistan and Pakistan want their custody. "Unfortunately, Pakistan's stance on the situation in Afghanistan has not been listened," he concluded.
