Federal cabinet approves Rs75b relief package for small businesses

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Meeting of the federal cabinet was held in Islamabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. The cabinet ratified decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee, including approval of a relief package of worth 75 billion rupees to provide financial assistance to labourers and daily wagers, who lost their jobs due to coronavirus pandemic. The cabinet meeting approved a 12-point agenda. The inquiry commission has been given another three weeks deadline on the sugar crisis scandal. The package was also approved to support medical personnel fighting coronavirus on the frontline. The decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Legal Cases were also ratified. The federal cabinet approved the Financial Agreements Bill 2020. He also approved the reconstitution of the board of directors for Pak-Arab Refinery.
