ISLAMABAD (92 News) –The federal cabinet approved the proposal regarding to the abolition of discretionary funds at the Prime Minister's House on Friday. Prime Minister Imran Khan chairs the meeting of federal cabinet in Islamabad. During the meeting, the important matters reviewed and giving approval regarding imperative decisions. The cabinet approved important decisions in the meeting. The cabinet approved to abolish discretionary funds of different ministries. It was discussed that the motive of abolition of discretionary is to bring austerity in financial matters as well as transparency. The approval was given to make limited foreign trips of the ministers and bureaucrats. The cabinet also approved special audit of mass transport system. The cabinet will launch an investigation into all mass-transit including the metro bus projects started under the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government. An audit will be carried out on the initial cost of Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan metro bus systems. A summary seeking to increase working days to six for government offices approved during the cabinet meeting. According to the summary, government offices will remain open on Saturday. The cabinet decided to launch a major cleanliness drive in the country. In the meeting, the presentation on load shedding was given and the cabinet members were briefed on the load-shedding situation in the country.
