Federal cabinet expresses concern over increase in coronavirus cases

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet on Tuesday expressed concern over an increase in the cases of coronavirus.

The forum was briefed that Punjab is releasing 20,000 tons of wheat daily, while Sindh released 85,000 tons of wheat from October 20 to 31. It was also told that 200,000 tons of imported sugar would reach the country in a couple of days.

The meeting was ordered to ensure wearing of masks and implementation of SOPs. It was told that the physical verification process was started on the report of Wajid Zia. "A sharp increase of up to 250,000 tons of sugar has been witnessed," he added.

The cabinet approved to keep the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company (Limited) under the Ministry for Planning and Development.

It approved to extend the service tenure of the additional charge of the chief executive of the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company (Limited).

The forum approved the decisions made by the Economic Coordination Committee on October 14, 2020. It also approved to issue 92 licences to the overseas employment promoters and withdraw 18 licences.
