Federal cabinet extended suspension of pilots having doubtful licences: Shibli

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Information Shibli Faraz said that the federal cabinet had approved extension in the suspension of pilots having doubtful licences. Briefing the media about the decisions made the federal cabinet on Tuesday, he said that the meeting was briefed about outsourcing the airports. He said that the cabinet also approved the appointment of Muhammad Shahid as PARCO managing director. "Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his satisfaction over the recent stability in the economic situation," he said. The minister said that Sate Bank's reserves had increased to US$12.5 billion from US$8 billion due to prudent economic policies of the government. "When we assumed the power, the current account deficit was at US$20 billion and in two years we brought it to US$3 billion by reducing it to US$17 billion," he added. He said that under the Ehsaas program, the government has distributed financial assistance to 15 million families. Shibli Faraz said that the government had adopted the policy of reducing important imports and increased exports which resulted in the strengthening of country's economy. "The meeting was apprised that a historical relief package for the construction sector and resumption of construction activities will create jobs. Under the anti-encroachment drive of the government, illegal constructions on Srinagar Highway were retrieved and trees were planted," he said. He said that the federal cabinet had also decided to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner.
