Federal cabinet favours governor's rule in KP, say sources
ISLAMABAD (92 News) Government sources say that the majority of the federal cabinet has supported the imposition of governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to the sources, the government has decided to consult the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Qaumi Watan Party, and Awami National Party (ANP) before imposing governor's rule in KP.
The law ministry and the attorney general have given their opinion to the federal cabinet regarding the imposition of governor's rule in KP.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa itself produced a justification for governor's rule by attacking the federation twice, adding that government employees and government machinery were used in the attack on the federation.
The final decision regarding the imposition of governor's rule in KP will be made after taking political allies and stakeholders into confidence.
