Federal cabinet reviewed latest situation in IOK: Firdous Awan
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Fridous Ashiq Awan said that the federal cabinet had reviewed the latest situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference after the federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, she said that the meeting was also informed about the diplomatic efforts for raising the voice on violations of human rights in Occupied Kashmir. “Moreover, the meeting discussed the 10-point agenda and approved several points,” she said.
The special assistant said that the cabinet also endorsed the decision to express solidarity with Kashmiris on Friday. “The meeting also lauded the prime minister’s passion of turning the Kashmir issue into a movement at the international level,” she said.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the meeting had also decided to include Mushahid Hussain Syed and Naveed Qamar in the Focal Group on Kashmir. “The nation will have to come out for Kashmir and give the world the message of ‘Do More’.
She said that Pakistanis from all walks of life would express solidarity with Kashmiris. “Pakistan will continue to stand with Kashmiris whether any country supports them or not,” she quoted PM Imran Khan, as saying.
India committing Kashmiris’ genocide in Occupied Kashmir: Firdous
On August 24, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan had said that India is committing the genocide of Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir.
She said that Kashmiris are facing the state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir.
She condemned the statement of Indian defence minister Rajnath Singh.
The special assistant said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation this week. “India has started the war and we will end it,” she maintained. She said that Pakistan will not violate the international laws.
Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that the opening of Kartarpur corridor for Sikh yatrees is a historic step of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said that all minorities enjoy equal rights in Pakistan as per the constitution. “Sikh conventions will be held in Lahore and Nankana Sahib on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.”
Ch Sarwar said that the first such convention will be held at Governor House in Lahore in which Sikhs form all over the world will participate. “All-out efforts will be made to safeguard the rights of minorities enabling them to perform their rituals and rites according to their faith,” he added.
