Federal cabinet to discuss 15-point agenda today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet meeting will be held on Tuesday (today) under the chair of Priem Minister Imran Khan. During the meeting, the federal cabinet will discuss the budget session, the recent wave of arrests and his visit to Bishkek to attend the Council of Heads of State (CHS) of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The session will be held at 11am in the prime minister’s office in which the establishment of an inquiry commission, the recent wave of arrests and strategy for the budget session will be discussed. According to the 15-point agenda for the federal cabinet meeting, the cabinet will be briefed about the Ehsas programme and the Visa NOC Liberalization Policy. The cabinet will also be briefed about the progress of the asset scheme, Pak-Iran Maritime Search and Rescue Agreement along with verified cases of theft by the Federal Investigation Agency and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority regard. Earlier, PM Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the federal cabinet. It discussed 12-point agenda. During the meeting, the Hajj Policy and Plan 2019 presented before the cabinet for approval. The agenda was also included changing of Chinese business and visit visas into work permits. The annual and review election report presented in the cabinet. The cash management and single account policy also presented in the cabinet for approval. On May 28, the cabinet has decided that the federal budget is set to be presented on June 11. Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan informed Tuesday said while addressing a press conference after the meeting. PM Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the cabinet to discuss the eight-point agenda. During the meeting, the strategy paper of budget 2019-20 presented to the federal cabinet. She said that the forthcoming budget, for the fiscal year 2019-20, will focus upon improving Pakistan’s economy as well as foreign debt. “Further, one of the matters deliberated upon was that the common man not be impacted by the budget,” she added. The special assistant also noted that initial documents pertaining to the budget were pondered upon.
