Federal cabinet to discuss latest situation of coronavirus today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet will be held in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. The cabinet meeting will discuss the latest situation vis-a-vis coronavirus. The meeting will review the steps being taken by the government to contain the spread of the virus and mitigate its impact on economy. Seven point agenda also will be discussed and the report on electoral process will also be presented in the federal cabinet. Earlier, the meeting of the federal cabinet was held in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. The cabinet ratified decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee, including approval of a relief package of worth 75 billion rupees to provide financial assistance to labourers and daily wagers, who lost their jobs due to coronavirus pandemic. The cabinet meeting approved a 12-point agenda. The inquiry commission has been given another three weeks deadline on the sugar crisis scandal. The package was also approved to support medical personnel fighting coronavirus on the frontline. The decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Legal Cases were also ratified. The federal cabinet approved the Financial Agreements Bill 2020. He also approved the reconstitution of the board of directors for Pak-Arab Refinery.
