ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has tested positive for coronavirus.

In a tweet on Tuesday, he confirmed that he had been tested positive for coronavirus. "Inshallah, I will recover soon," he said.

Meanwhile, as many as 92 people died from coronavirus during the third wave of the pandemic during the last 24 hours across the country.

According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday, 2,253 new cases were reported in a single day. The overall death rate has increased to 20,400, while the total cases reported so far stand at 905,852. The positive cases rate remained at 4.82 percent.
