Federal government to hold ICT LB polls on party-basis

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal government on Wednesday decided to hold the Local Bodies election in Islamabad on party-basis. As per reports, the decision was taken due to the continuous pressure of opposition parties Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the government. More than 1,000 candidates have submitted their nomination papers to contest in LB polls however, the appeals challenging these papers can be filed till Thursday. The federal capital will hold LB polls on July 25.
