Federal govt announces two big packages for jobless, small traders

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal government has announced two big packages for the jobless and small traders. Addressing a press conference on Monday, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar said that an amount of Rs75 billion would be distributed among 4-6 million people. “The government will pay the three-month bill of electricity of small traders,” he said. The minister said that the objective of the package is to give a relief to business and industrial sector. “The estimated bill will be an average bill of May, June and July,” he said. He said that the government does not want to indulge in the blame game and wants to steer the people out of difficulty. “Consultation is going on for surety-less loans,” he said. Hammad Azhar said that the lockdown had badly affected the small traders.
