Federal govt completes preparation to deal with PTI long march

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The federal government has completed the preparation to deal with the long march being launched by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to sources, as many as 13,086 security personnel will be appointed in Islamabad during the long march. About 4,190 officials of the Islamabad police will be perform the duty, while 4,265 officials of the Frontier Constabulary and 3,600 officials of the Rangers will be on duty.

The forces have been provided with hundreds of teargas shells and guns, masks and other equipment.

Moreover, the federal government has demanded more contingents from Sindh. According to sources, over 700 police commandoes will be sent to Islamabad from six divisions. All security personnel will reach Islamabad on October 27. The police authorities have issued instructions to all SSPs.

The government has directed all police officers to be peaceful for the peaceful conduct of the long march and avoid any untoward incident. Leaves of all police officials have been cancelled except emergency.
