Federal govt demands resignation of CJP Umar Ata Bandial

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The federal government has demanded the resignation of Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial.

Talking to the media on Friday, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that how the people will accept the verdict not being accepted by the Supreme Court judges.

"No bench can be formed on this petition. Three benches have been formed on the petition which was already dismissed," she added.

The minister said that today's verdict is very important. "How was the verdict announced when the petition did not exist?" she questioned.

She said that two assemblies were dissolved on the basis of the fabricated stories of cypher. "The SC cannot use the powers of the ECP over the election matter. A majority of judges have also demanded the full court," she maintained.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the constitution cannot be suspended for Imran Khan. "The CJP himself has become controversial," she added.
