Federal govt exceeded authority over Rangers’ Powers: Farhatullah Babar

KARACHI (92 News) – Spokesman for Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari, Farhatullah Babar has on Wednesday said that the federal government has exceeded its authorities pertaining to Rangers’ special powers.

Talking to media, Farhatullah Babar strongly condemned the federal government’s decision regarding Rangers policing power.

He said that the PPP considered the decision of federal government an intervention in provincial autonomy, adding that they will raise voice for provincial autonomy at every forum.

Babar said that the central government should not have taken such decision.

On the other hand, the Sindh government has started consultation pertaining to challenging federal government’s decision in the court, while the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has called on an important meeting for legal consultation.
