KARACHI (92 News) – Supreme Court has on Thursday ordered the Federal Health Secretary to constitute a medical board for the medical checkup of former federal minister for petroleum Dr Asim Hussain. A two-member bench headed by Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani heard a petition filed by Hussain’s wife against his transfer from hospital to Rangers custody. The prosecution lawyer told the court that the military institution AFIC would be best if Dr Asim is a cardiac patient but former minister’s lawyer said that his client doesn’t want any army doctor to be included in the medical team. The court ordered the federal secretary health to form a medical board for checkup of former petroleum minister and to submit the medical checkup report in two weeks. The apex court directed that Dr Asim Hussain can meet the doctors of his choice.
