Nawaz-Modi meet: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid says all controversial issues discussed

LAHORE (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that all controversial issues including Kashmir have been discussed in the meeting held between the prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart in Ufa on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit yesterday. Talking to media he said that Indian government contacted United Nations to isolate Pakistan adding that extremists Indians gave false comfort to the masses. The minister said that Kashmir, Siachen, Sir Creek issues are controversial and other countries including China have dismissed Indian position. He said that the process of discussions is necessary for the peace in the region. The Minister said that their government ended terrorism in the country beside praising law-enforcement agencies’ role in fighting terrorism. “They want Pakistan to be a strong and peaceful country,” he said. Pervaiz Rashid said that Pakistan and India have fought three wars on Kashmir issue. “Resolutions on Kashmir issue are also present in the United Nations,” he said. The minister said that everyone has seen the conclusion of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s (PML-Q), which former president General Pervez Musharraf had established. “The Abpara party is completely finished,” he said. Pervaiz Rashid said that Pakistan is Asif Zardari’s coutry and he should stay here. He said that achievements have been made in Karachi operation and the accused of Safora incident have been arrested. The minister said that National Accountability Bureau should complete the corruption cases without wasting time. “The process of accountability should be continued,” he said.
