Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem resigns, confirms Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem has tendered his resignation, confirmed Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Sheikh Rasheed said that Farogh Naseem had resigned as he would plead the case of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa with Anwar Mansoor. He said that being the law minister, Farogh Naseem cannot contest the case of the Army Chief. Rumours were circulating that the prime minister had expressed his anger at Farogh Naseem on suspension of the notification regarding extension in the tenure of the Army Chief. However, Sheikh Rasheed said that the entire cabinet had lauded the services of the law minister. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Shahzad Akbar said that Farogh Naseem can be re-inducted into the cabinet after approval from the prime minister. Several other ministers have also confirmed that Farogh Naseem has resigned.
