Federal Minister Aminul Haque proposes formula to eradicate streets crime from Karachi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Information Technology Syed Aminul Haque and other MQM leaders have proposed a plan to eradicate the street crimes from Karachi.

Talking to the media, he said: "Local police officers should be appointed for three years and complete details should be documented. Moreover, the police officers who are neither locals nor they have any concern with the demand of the area. They are not familiar with the area,” it added.

Ameenul Haque said that there are more than 100 police stations in Karachi. “There is population of one million to 1.5 million within boundry of each police station. Can a local person not be appointed from this huge population,” he questioned.

He said that if the graph of crimes increased within the boundries of police stations then terminate its officer. “By making intelligence network, special branch police and committiees of areas a strong network can be created. The government cameras should be in working order and each street camera should be installed with the help of citizens on its entrance and exit,” he concluded.
