Federal ministers demand emergency steps to reduce inflation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal ministers, during a meeting of the federal cabinet, demanded that emergency steps should be taken to reduce inflation in the country.

The demand was made during a meeting of the federal cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday.

According to sources, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda said that bureaucracy is the biggest hurdle in the steps taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan and action should be taken against the responsible officers.

He demanded that the officers responsible for the wheat crisis should be pointed out. "The bureaucracy is shelve a clear-cut matter for months," he added.

Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said that it is failure of the bureaucracy to control inflation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan assured the cabinet members to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, the cabinet approved to appoint three technical advisers in the railways.
