Federal, provincial ministers tasked to expose Sharif family’s corruption

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday assigned the federal and provincial ministers task to expose the corruptions of Sharif family. During the one-day visit to Lahore, PM Khan chaired a Punjab cabinet meeting. In the meeting, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has decided to file new corruption references against Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) bigwigs. It was reported that the federal and provincial departments have collected the data to unveil the corruption of Sharif family. Meanwhile, the premier gave a go ahead in this regard during a meeting. Speaking to the journalists, after the meeting, Punjab Minister for Housing Mian Mehmood Rasheed said that the Sharif family is facing corruption references against them but the incumbent government will submit new corruption references against the Sharif family on behalf of collected by new data.
PM, cabinet approve draft of new local bodies system in Punjab
Earlier today, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Punjab cabinet approved the draft of new local bodies system.

The new municipal system will consist of two categories that include municipal and mohalla councils in urban areas, while tehsil and village councils in rural areas.

During the one-day visit of PM Khan in Lahore, the incumbent government revealed the important decisions, however, the briefing of new local bodies system was given during the meeting under chair of the prime minister. The draft of Punjab’s new local bodies system will soon be presented in the provincial assembly and provincial cabinet. In the meeting, the prime minister was informed that under the new local government system, capacity of local governments would be improved and transparency in transfer of funds will be ensured. He was told that a solid procedure would be introduced to counter crimes and cooperation between police and people would be promoted. The prime minister was also informed about the proposed time-frame for Punchaiati and elections of the local government system.
