Federation strengthented by giving independce to provinces: Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that the constitution was purged of the amendments introduced by dictators on this day.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that fruits of 18 Amendment are coming before the people. “The 18 Amendment is a pact among provinces and the government. The political parties who like democracy show their confidence in the 1973 constitution. The people who violated the constitution killed the founder of 1973 constitution but they could not abolish the constitution,” he added.

He said that revival of constitution to the original form was the dream of the late PPP chirperson Benazir Bhutto. “The parliament is supreme and bowing head before the parliament is the gesture of showing faithfulness in the constitution,” he concluded.
