Fehmida Mirza seeks time from FIFA to avoid ban on Pakistan football team

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza has asked the FIFA, the world soccer body, to give them some time as the government does not want a ban on the national soccer team.

Talking to the media on Wednesday, she said that the Normalization Committee should hold the elections as per its mandate till June. "The government wants to resolve the problems of the Pakistan Football Federation," she added.

The minister asked the FIFA to send its fact mission to Pakistan to review the entire situation.

The FIFA has given Ashfaq Group today's deadline till 8am to end its occupation of Football House.
