Female student dies after falling from Metro Bus in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – A female student died after falling from Metro Bus on Friday.

The girl was identified as 19-year-old Samaira of Sir Syed Chowk, Rawalpindi. She was a medical student at Shifa Medical College, Islamabad.

She was sitting near the windscreen when the driver applied the emergency break due to ongoing repair work at Rahmanabad Station.

She struck against the windscreen that broke. She fell from the bus.

She sustained serious injuries and taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where she died.

The body has been shifted to DHQ Hospital.

The police have registered a case against the bus driver on the compliant of the victim’s brother. The driver has surrendered to the police.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and ordered investigations into the matter.
