FIA official, Immigration inspector suspended for torturing female passengers

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – FIA official Ghazala Shaheen and Immigration Inspector Nadeem Akhtar have been suspended for torturing two female passengers at Benazir Airport on Wednesday.

Interior Minister Ch Nisar has also expressed indignation at the FIA officials for not taking action against the responsible.

In 92 News Program ‘Muqabal’, Anchorperson Rauf Klasra had exposed the matter.

A new footage has revealed that the female passengers were tortured by the officials for complaining about absence of tissue papers in toilets.

The officials slapped the passengers and pulled their hair publicly.

In the preliminary report submitted to Interior Minister Ch Nisar, Director FIA Mazhar Kakakhel had tried his best to protect the officials.

Now the investigations will be conducted afresh into the matter and the DG FIA has summoned both parties.
