FIA raids, seizes record of private schools charging heavy fees

LAHORE (92 News) – The FIA raided several private schools charging heavy fees and seized their record across the country. On the court orders, raids are being conducted on the schools charging fees above Rs 5,000. In Lahore, the FIA seized the record of 10 big schools and froze their accounts. The schools’ forensic audit will be conducted and owners’ assets will be probed. A comprehensive report about all private schools is likely to be completed by Monday. In Islamabad, the FIA has written a letter about 22 big private schools, ordering a probe into the corruption of CEOs and owners. The manual and computerized record of these schools will be seized. The FIA has initiated action against several private schools refusing to reduce their fees by 20 percent in Multan, Sukkur, Larkana and Khairpur. In Quetta, the government has decided to form a committee over the issue of hike in fees. Adviser to CM on Education Muhammad Khan Lehri said that the committee will be formed in a couple of days. He said that action will be taken against the schools charging fees over Rs 5,000.
