Firdous Awan confirms arrest of Farishta’s murderer
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant of Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan confirmed the arrest of ten-year-old girl Farishta’s murderer on Monday.
In a series of tweet, the special assistant thanked Almighty Allah for the arrest of Farisha’s murder and added that this is ‘Naya Pakistan’.
“Awan said that giving exemplary punishment to the culprit of such detestable acts give new life to the society and help avert such incidents in future,” She tweeted.اللہ تعالی کا شکر ادا کرتے ہیں کہ معصوم فرشتہ کا قاتل قانون کی گرفت میں ہے۔یہ ہے عمران خان کی قیادت میں نیا پاکستان جہاں قانون کا یکساں اطلاق ،فوری عمل داری اور اداروں کا استحکام یقینی بنایا جا رہا ہے۔

Meanwhile, a four-day-old body recovered on Monday evening (May 20) was identified as that of Farishta by her father, who recognised her by her clothes. Police said samples taken from the body and the site where Farishta was found are being tested to ascertain whether she was subjected to gang rape and torture, as alleged by the family. A case was registered against the Shahzad Town police officers for negligence.
