Fire engulfs shoe warehouse in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - A third-degree fire broke out on Wednesday in a shoe warehouse located in Shershah area of Karachi, reducing it to ashes. According to reports, the fire erupted in the shoe warehouse at around 5am, prompting five firefighting vehicles to reach the scene. However, after witnessing the intensity of the blaze additional five cars were called in. Despite the passage of 8 hours the fire has not been brought under control. Firefighters are facing difficulties in controlling the fire due to shortage of water. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained as one part of the building collapsed due to the extreme blaze. Fire officials categorised the blaze as third degree.
