Fire erupts at NICVD’s operation theater in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – A fire erupted at the first floor of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) operation theatre in Karachi on Saturday. According to reports, the fire erupted at the operation theater, situated at the first floor of the NICVD but the fire has successfully been extinguished. The trapped patients, who got minor burn injuries in the process, were rescued by the hospital administration immediately. During the rescue operation, the security guard was also injured. The patients are facing difficulties due to the closure of electricity within the hospital. The administration said that the operation theater of the hospital got partially affected due to blaze, which will be repaired soon. The cause behind the the incident could not be ascertained.
