Firing, explosion near Chinese consulate in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Firing and a blast were heard near the Chinese consulate in Karachi on Friday morning. According to eyewitnesses, three men possessing hand grenades and other weapons fired near the Chinese consulate in Karachi’s Clifton Block 4 around 9:30am. Following to incident heavy contingent of police and Rangers have arrived at the scene. According to sources, three to four suspected people tried to enter the consulate and opened fire on the guard standing outside the building.

The eyewitnesses said that the security forces deployed outside the Chinese consulate retaliated to the firing. The sources said that the firing is continued between the security forces and the armed attackers.
