Firodus calls upon trial of Modi in international HR court

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Wednesday demanded trial of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the international human rights court. A rally was taken out in Islamabad today to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). Women from different segments of the society including the parliamentarians participated in the rally and raised slogans in support of Kashmiri people and against the Indian atrocities. Speaking on the occasion to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people in IoK, the special assistant said that Prime Minister Imran Khan gave the philosophy of independence to the world. “However, every nefarious and efforts of India against Kashmir will be foiled,” she added. Firdous Ashiq Awan thanked the media which raised the voice for Kashmiri woman and daughters. “I accept the role of media in Kashmir solidarity and paid tribute for their role,” she added.
IoK turned into world's biggest prison
The special assistant said the occupied valley has been turned into the world's biggest prison by the Indian forces. She regretted that the basic rights of the Kashmiri people are being trampled upon in complete violations of international laws. Firdous said that the people of Pakistan feel the pain and agony of their Kashmiri brothers and sisters. She said there are several UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on Kashmir dispute and the world body should play its role for the resolution of this lingering dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people. The nation is observing Kashmir Solidarity Day to express wholehearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions on Wednesday. The day will highlight the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people and remind the world community of its obligations towards the resolution of the outstanding dispute. This time the day is being observed after India revoked the special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir in August last year in breach of all international laws, and since then the entire population of the held territory has been under lockdown. One minute silence was observed at 10.00am to pay homage to the martyrs of the liberation struggle of occupied Kashmir. Human chains were formed at Kohala, Mangla, Barar Kot, Holar and Azad Pattan points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. At Kohala, Punjab Minister Raja Rashid Hafeez, political leaders belonging to different parties of all four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were also present on this occasion.
