First coronavirus death reported in Gilgit-Baltistan

GILGIT-BALTISTAN (92 News) – The first coronavirus death was reported in Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday. The Gilgit-Baltistan Spokesperson Faizullah Faraq said that the patient, a resident of Chilas, was suffering from pneumonia and he had tested positive for coronavirus. Meanwhile, 10 new more patients tested positive for coronavirus in the area. In total, tests were conducted on 13 people at the local level. The Gilgit-Baltistan spokesperson said that new patients had reached the area through Taftan border. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has decided to close Murree for tourists amid the fear of coronavirus spread. As per the decision, locals have been directed to stay at their homes. The government employees have been ordered to adopt the precautionary measures. All the tourists will be directed to leave their homes. All shopping malls and shops will close at 10am across the province. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all big shopping malls, markets, tourist resorts and educational institutions will remain closed. In Sindh, the provincial government has directed to close intercity transport, public offices, all the Out-Patient Departments (OPDs) at public hospitals, shopping malls, restaurants, food streets, public parks for 15 days in the entire province, except for essential services.
