First flight carrying Hujjaj reaches Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The first flight carrying Hujjaj reached Islamabad from Jeddah on Saturday. A large number of relatives of the pilgrims were present at the airport to receive their loved ones. Stringent security arrangements had been made on the occasion. Meanwhile, 166 pilgrims reached Karachi by PK-8702. PIA Station Manager Ahmed Alam, District Manager Shoaib Ahmed Shah and other officers welcomed the pilgrims. On the other hand, a flight carrying 140 pilgrims reached Faisalabad. Commissioner Mahmood Javed Bhatti, the Airport Manager and CAA officers welcomed the pilgrims. According to the PIA spokesperson, the national flag carrier will operate 290 special and scheduled flights from Jeddah and Madina Munawwara. Over 82,000 Hujjaj will reach Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan, Quetta and Faisalabad by PIA flights. The Haj operation will conclude on September 14.
